Why I'm Running

I’m running for Rohnert Park City Council because I believe local government has one of the greatest opportunities to make a real difference in people's everyday lives.

The decisions made by our City Council shape the neighborhoods we live in, the businesses we support, the safety of our streets, the parks where our families gather, and the future we leave for the next generation. Those decisions deserve thoughtful leadership grounded in integrity, accessibility, and service.

Over the past few years, I've become increasingly involved in our community, not because I planned to run for office, but because I care deeply about where we live. Through conversations with neighbors, community events, local meetings, and HOA leadership, I've gained an even greater appreciation for Rohnert Park's strengths while learning more about the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Again and again, I've heard how much residents value clear communication, responsible financial stewardship, thoughtful growth, and leaders who are present, accessible, and willing to listen.

Those conversations inspired me to step forward.

Throughout my career in healthcare leadership, I've learned that the best leaders don't have all the answers. They ask good questions, bring people together, seek out expertise, make informed decisions, and remain accountable for the results. I believe those same principles belong in local government.

I'm running because I believe I can bring that approach to City Council: practical leadership, honest communication, thoughtful decision-making, and a genuine commitment to serving the people of Rohnert Park.

If elected, my responsibility will be to listen first, understand the facts, make thoughtful decisions, communicate openly, even when the news is difficult, and remain accountable for the decisions I make.

Because, above all, public service is service.

Together, we can continue building a Rohnert Park that is welcoming, financially responsible, connected, and prepared for the future while preserving the strong sense of community that makes our city such a special place to call home.
