How I Lead
-
I believe good leadership starts by listening.
Every resident has a unique perspective shaped by their own experiences, and every voice deserves to be heard with respect. Whether we agree or disagree, I believe the best decisions come from taking the time to understand different viewpoints before reaching a conclusion.
If elected, I will be visible in our neighborhoods, accessible to residents, and committed to maintaining an open dialogue with the community, not just during election season, but throughout my time in office.
-
City Council decisions often involve competing priorities, limited resources, and difficult tradeoffs. There are rarely simple answers.
My approach is to gather the facts, ask questions, seek input from residents and subject matter experts, evaluate both the short- and long-term impacts, and make decisions based on what is in the best interest of the entire community.
Residents deserve honest communication about what is possible, what isn't, and why. That openness builds trust, strengthens accountability, and helps our community move forward together.
-
Throughout my career in healthcare leadership, I've worked with people from many different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
The best solutions rarely come from one person. They come from collaboration.
Whether engaging with residents, local businesses, community organizations, City staff, or fellow Councilmembers, I value respectful collaboration and open communication. I believe the best decisions are made through a transparent public process where all perspectives can be heard.
Respectful dialogue creates stronger communities.
-
Serving on the City Council means being entrusted with taxpayer dollars and making decisions that affect our community for years to come.
For more than two decades, I've managed complex budgets, negotiated major contracts, improved operational performance, and been accountable for delivering measurable results.
I will bring that same level of fiscal responsibility to City Hall by asking thoughtful questions, evaluating long-term financial impacts, and ensuring public resources are used wisely and efficiently.
-
Trust is earned through openness, honesty, and consistent communication.
Residents deserve to understand not only what decisions are made, but why they are made.
I believe in communicating clearly, explaining my reasoning, and remaining accessible to the community. Even when people disagree with a decision, they should know it was made thoughtfully, respectfully, and with the community's best interests in mind.
To me, transparency means being open and upfront about the facts, the options considered, and the reasoning behind each decision, whether the outcome is popular or difficult. Honest communication builds trust and is the foundation of accountable government.
-
If elected, I will represent every resident of District 2 with fairness, respect, and integrity. My role is to listen to the people I represent, understand their concerns, and advocate for the needs and priorities of our district.
At the same time, every decision made by the City Council shapes the future of all of Rohnert Park. I will approach each issue thoughtfully, considering both the unique needs of District 2 and the long-term interests of our entire community.
Rohnert Park is strongest when every neighborhood has a voice. Our community includes longtime residents, young families, seniors, students, renters, homeowners, local businesses, and people from many different backgrounds and experiences. Every resident deserves to feel heard, respected, and connected to their local government.
I believe strong communities are built through listening, collaboration, and a shared commitment to making Rohnert Park an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
-
I can't promise that every decision will be easy or that everyone will agree with every vote I cast.
What I can promise is this:
I will listen before deciding.
I will lead with integrity.
I will communicate openly.
I will be accountable for my decisions.
I will focus on practical solutions that strengthen our community today while preparing Rohnert Park for tomorrow.
Those are the principles that will guide me as I serve our community.
